Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage is a generalized treatment that addresses the whole body to increase muscular pain and tightness, increase flexibility, decrease recovery time from injuries and activities, and strengthen the immune system. Massage can also reduce anxiety, decrease stress, reduce tension headaches, and calm the nervous system.

Deep Tissue Massage

Similar to Therapeutic Massage, Deep Tissue Massage focuses on specific issues within muscle tissues. This is a catch-all phrase that includes trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and assisted stretching. Deep tissue massage can be uncomfortable and may leave you a little sore the next day, but it should never be unbearably painful nor should you develop bruising unless you neglected to inform your therapist of all medications you are taking. Most clients will benefit from deep tissue work but many are frightened of it due to past bad experiences. Be assured that I am very careful with these techniques and will always work within your tolerance.
